This vehicle is comfortable and reliable. Especially good on trips on the interstate highways.

Im a 21 year old and this is my first car I ever bought and let me tell you its an awesome car. Now I see why cops and taxi cab drivers use them. Ive driven these kinds of cars since I was 17 this being the 3rd one Ive driven and first one Ive bought and owned. Ive driven a 95 model and another 99 model that my father owns. This car only has 37,500 miles on it right now. It had 27,450 when I bought it for less then $7 grand. I have the GS model but I have leather seats. It rides and handles really smooth and has good pick up for its size. Its not no Mustang or race car but it can keep up and has the power when needed.

  • Transmission Gone Wrong - 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis

My 1999 Grand Marquis has had 2 rebuilt transmissions. It was a rental. Buyers beware because most 1 or 2 years old cars are rentals sold to various dealers. A good price can be had. The only thing is that in 30 years of renting cars most of them have had some kind of major defect.

Bought "my baby" new in 1999. Still not a scratch on her. Waxed many times and looks better than new. For long distance driving, this is the way to go. Smooth and quiet, and so safe. Riding in other cars now, feels so choppy and harsh. Great to get back into my Grand Marquis. Will never buy a smaller jolty car again.

  • Sturdy American Classic - 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis

Ive only driven boulevard cruisers for the past 25 years. This one’s a bit too stiff and there isnt nearly the room Im used to. I compare this to my 94 Town Car, and it just doesnt stack up. Not enough rear legroom, and even the front seems a bit cramped. That said, it sure beats the heck out of any import in its price range for room, size and comfort. We bought ours used in October 2002 for $12,000 out the door with 30K one owner miles on it. Thats what I call bang for the buck! Been flawless as long as weve owned it. However, if I had it to do over, Id look at another 92-97 Town Car instead. Well worth the few more dollars.

  • Nice Car! - 1999 Mercury Grand Marquis

Lots of room, smooth ride! My 1999 has only 57000 miles on it but is still a nice drive! Too bad ford got rid of the Mercury brand and the crown vic/marquis. I really like this car! Never had any major problems and hope too keep driving for at least another 57000 miles and why not! Still get compliments on this car and offers to purchase it from me.

Good solid comfortable car for the whole family. Im only 25 years old and people say that I drive an old man car but so what. With a V-8 that gets 25 mpg and all the power in the world, I cant complain at all. Smooth, smooth, smooth!

The engine is very smooth, starts easily and runs well. Fuel economy is surprising to me (24 highway). Trans shifs smoothly, but not always very timely. Ride is stable and quiet.
